911³Ô¹Ï at Ashtabula hosted its 68th Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 11, 2018. Nearly 120 students earning their associate's, bachelor's or master's degrees were honored during the ceremony, held in the Main Hall Gymnasium.
James E. Mayer, Jr., Managing Director at Huffman-Mayer Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, delivered the commencement address. Dayaneira Mercado of Orwell, a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate, served as the student speaker.
Additionally, the Ashtabula Area College Committee, Inc. (AACCI) presented its Community Service Award to Ashtabula Area City Schools Board President and Lift Bridge Community Association Chairperson Christine Seuffert. Matthew Butler, a 2007 911³Ô¹Ï Ashtabula graduate and current Clinical Supervisor of Substance Abuse Disorders Services at Community Counseling Center, was awarded the Roger T. Beitler Distinguished Former Student Award.
