An early holiday gift came to student Crystal Dell in the form of a $1,000 scholarship toward her Spring Semester studies from an anonymous “Christmas Angel.” Crystal, who is pursuing her degree in nursing, was surprised with the award  by Senior Program Director for Nursing and Allied Health Julie Senita, Ph.D., and Dean Susan J. Recently, the chic Dear Irving on the Hudson lounge at New York City’s Aliz Hotel was transformed into a space of celebration and reconnection for 911�Թ� School of Fashion alumni and faculty. The event marked the first alumni event in more than two years, as the School begins preparations to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023. During its regular quarterly meeting held Wednesday, Dec. 15, the 911�Թ� Board of Trustees approved naming resolutions for 17 spaces to be located in the future Crawford Hall based on philanthropic gifts of $100,000 or more. The Ashtabula Foundation has awarded 911�Թ� at Ashtabula a grant totaling $142,850 to upgrade equipment for two allied health programs. “I am grateful to the Ashtabula Foundation for their generous support of our students,” said Susan J. The 911�Թ� alumni family grew by more than 2,400 new graduates as the university held its fall commencement. The accomplishments of the Fall Class of 2021 were recognized with in-person commencement ceremonies and a virtual commencement ceremony for all colleges and degrees on Dec. 17-18.
