All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the 911³Ô¹Ï group's trip to Rwanda.
911³Ô¹Ï educators and students visited a marketplace that sells goods made by marginalized women. Afterward, they watched a traditional dance troupe perform and were invited to dance with them.
The visitors from 911³Ô¹Ï are in Rwanda attending (held July 11-13), a global peace conference sponsored by 911³Ô¹Ï’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, 911³Ô¹Ï’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in 911³Ô¹Ï’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, 911³Ô¹Ï’s Board of Trustees approved 911³Ô¹Ï opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for 911³Ô¹Ï’s recruitment throughout Africa.
