911³Ô¹Ï held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Kent Student Center Kiva. This year’s guest speaker was Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of 911³Ô¹Ï’s Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

As the champagne flowed Oct. 15 in the clubhouse of the National League Champion Washington Nationals, there was a 911³Ô¹Ï connection in the middle of the frenzy that capped the team’s first trip to the World Series.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the 911³Ô¹Ï fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their 911³Ô¹Ï days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with 911³Ô¹Ï pride.

Mother-Daughter Duo Go Through 911³Ô¹Ï Geauga Nursing Program Together
Ronda McCaskey and Caitlyn Horvath are best friends who went through the nursing program together and graduated one year apart with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees from 911³Ô¹Ï at Geauga. Now they are both intensive care nurses. But they also happen to be mother and daughter.
