CAVS Open House Welcomes Veterans and Service Members
Incoming and existing military-connected 911³Ô¹Ï students were welcomed to campus with open arms at the Veterans and Service Members Open House hosted by the Center for Adult and Veteran Services (CAVS). The event aimed to bring the military community - from student to spouse to staff member - together with food, refreshments and conversation.
Social Justice Quilting Project With 911³Ô¹Ï to Benefit the King Kennedy Community Center
In August 2021, 1,000 incoming 911³Ô¹Ï students, faculty and staff began a collaborative community effort to implement a social justice quilting project. This initiative stemmed from the Community Engaged Learning department's welcome week and was completed in late August 2022. The mission was to create something by 911³Ô¹Ï students that could be sold or auctioned off to raise money for improvements to the gymnasium at the King Kennedy Community Center.

She will receive the award on Nov. 17 at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn.

As a part of 911³Ô¹Ï's University College’s Exploratory Program, Flash Connections are enhanced sections of the required First Year Experience course created especially for Exploratory students. The Flash Connections program is designed to help students considering multiple majors find a community while discovering their major.
