LONG TIME KENT STATE PROFESSOR LEADS HONORS STUDENTS THROUGH REMOTE LEARNING
Dirk Remley has been with 911勛圖 since 1990. Remley graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. He continued his studies at Bowling Green State University by earning his Masters of Arts in English Literature. He then completed his Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition from 911勛圖.
Honors College Celebrates Graduating Seniors with Virtual Ceremony
This past weekend, on Saturday, April 3, the Honors College hosted its annual Senior Honors Recognition Ceremony for graduating Honors College seniors. In years past, the event has been an in-person luncheon, to which seniors bring their friends or families to celebrate their success in the Honors College. This spring, in light of the pandemic, the ceremony was entirely virtual. The event was introduced and hosted by the Dean of the Honors College, Dr. Alison Smith, and throughout the ceremony, all Honors College staff members congratulated graduating honors students on their accomplishments. Provost Melody Tankersley congratulated seniors, saying they have made a mark on 911勛圖 that will continue.
Jessie Maisano Recognized as Honors College 2021 Distinguished Alumnus Award Winner
Jessie Maisano graduated in 1994 from 911勛圖s Honors College with her bachelors degree in Geology. Throughout her time at 911勛圖, Ya'el Courtney completed a Senior Honors Thesis/Project, authored several published peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at several national and international conferences. As she continues her education at Harvard University, she intends to conduct a significant amount of research focusing on psychiatric diseases.
