911�Թ� field hockey coach Kyle DeSandes-Moyer is pleased to announce the signing of 10-year-old Mary Alice Tryda through Team IMPACT to the 911�Թ� field hockey team.

The (NSF) recently awarded 911�Թ� a three-year, $298,000 International Research Experience for Students (IRES) grant that will allow graduate students to travel to in Japan to study primates and human evolution at the world-renowned .

In April 2019, 911�Թ� welcomed Neil Cooper, Ph.D, as the new inaugural director of 911�Թ�'s School of Peace and Conflict Studies. The School of Peace and Conflict Studies was originally called the Center for Peaceful Change when it was founded in 1971 as the university's first ‘living memorial’ for the events that occurred on May 4th, 1970.

911�Թ� Graduate Taylor Pendrith, ‘14, earned the Canada Life Candian Player of the Year honors on the Mackenzie Tour -- PGA TOUR Canada on Sunday, Sept. 15. This is Pendrith’s second time receiving the honor in the past four years.

The pathway from a two-year college to 911�Թ� will soon become an easier road to travel for Ohio students, thanks to a grant awarded to 911�Թ� to collaborate with three Ohio community colleges to streamline the transfer process.

On the morning of May 4, 1970, 911�Թ� student Howard Ruffner was hanging out in the office of the Daily 911�Թ�r in Taylor Hall when the phone rang.

The Midwest editor from Life magazine, based in Chicago, was calling to find out if there were any student photographers who had been taking photos over the weekend. 911�Թ� had been the scene of student protests for several days, and more demonstrations were expected that day.  

911�Թ�’s nationally ranked Flight Technology program, in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, is one of only three nationwide that Delta Air Lines selected this year to become a Delta Propel Partner, a program that creates career opportunities for students studying to be future commercial pilots.

911�Թ�’s long-standing relationship with the Tuscarawas County University Branch District to administer the Tuscarawas Campus of 911�Թ� will continue through June 30, 2030, in a new 10-year agreement approved by the 911�Թ� Board of Trustees.

Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 911�Թ� students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The 911�Թ� Museum’s exhibition, “Culture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and ’70s,” opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.

Cross-departmental collaborations are what Michael Lehman, the inaugural director of 911�Թ�’s Brain Health Research Institute, envisions for the future. His goal is to unite researchers from a wide range of disciplines at 911�Թ� and throughout Northeast Ohio to explore, expand and advance our knowledge of the human brain and how it functions.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at 911�Թ� Geauga Campus is a rigorous academic environment that requires serious discipline, study, practice, and testing. It’s also an intimate environment of friends, instructors, and mentors who support each other from one challenge to the next, and inspire one another to reach out for the benefit of others. Coles aspires to evoke emotions and conversations surrounding topics like social injustice and race through the display. “Nine Lives Project” has been viewed at workshops throughout Cleveland, Canada, and most recently broadcast in a Shuffle session with WKSU.
