When Jayrelis Capeles walked across the stage at 911�Թ� this spring, she was already brimming with emotion. She had just earned not one, but two degrees — in psychology and sociology — and was celebrating the end of her college journey that began in 2021. But the most unforgettable moment wasn’t the walk or the tassel turn.

The roster of these current and former faculty assembled for 911�Թ�'s silver anniversary reads like the legend on a campus map, as so many in the 1935 photo had university buildings named for them. 

Thanks to a collaboration between Peg’s Foundation & Gallery, Scabal and 911�Թ�’s School of Fashion, Peg’s Foundation & Gallery will become the epicenter of international art, fashion and innovation this summer with the U.S. premiere of “Dalí Beyond Time: Fashioning the Future.” The groundbreaking exhibit will bring 12 Salvador Dalí paintings commissioned for Scabal to Hudson, Ohio – and to American soil – for the very first time.

Muna Koirala’s first year at 911�Թ� was an exercise in academic anxiety, and she’s willing to share her story in hopes that her struggles will help other students overcome their own.

911�Թ�’s nationally distinctive Master of Public Health (MPH) program provides students interested in continuing their public health educational journey online with several options, including the MPH with concentrations in health policy and management or social and behavioral sciences, and the STEM-designated MPH in epidemiology. The program positively impacts current graduate students and alumni in different ways.

Ethelyn VonHelmers Fitzsimmons of Mantua, who served as a secretary for three 911�Թ� presidents, will celebrate her 110th birthday on May 17.
